Client Brief
Epic Taste Experiences offers personalised food and wine tours that showcase the best of the Greater Geelong Region, including the Bellarine Peninsula, Moorabool Valley, Surf Coast Shire, and The Otways. They approached D&Co Studio to develop a striking brand identity that captured the essence of the region and highlighted the curated gastronomical journeys they provide. The identity needed to reflect their deep local knowledge, attentive service, and the variety of experiences they offer, while connecting people to the culture and charm of the region.
Challenges
The key challenge was to design a cohesive brand identity that encapsulated the breadth of experiences offered by Epic Taste Experiences. From wineries to cheese producers, fields to gourmet dining, the branding needed to convey the diversity and richness of the region’s artisan offerings. It also had to appeal to a wide audience, including casual groups, corporate teams, and special occasion celebrants, while maintaining a professional yet relaxed tone.
Design Approach
D&Co Studio developed a distinctive shield-shaped logo that doubles as a stylized wine glass, representing Epic Taste Experiences’ focus on gastronomy and connection to the region. The design features four key elements within the shield: a vine leaf for wineries, fields for produce, a dairy shed for cheese, and a knife and fork for gourmet experiences. Together, these elements reflect the variety and depth of the tours offered.
The brand’s colour palette of steel blue, ochre, honey gold, sage green, white, and pinot red evokes the natural beauty and flavours of the region. These tones create a warm, inviting, and sophisticated aesthetic. A clean, modern yet friendly typeface complements the logo, ensuring the brand feels approachable while maintaining professionalism.
To further enhance the brand, D&Co Studio designed a bespoke topographic pattern that symbolises the Greater Geelong region. This pattern visually connects Epic Taste Experiences to the land, celebrating the unique places, people, and culture of the area.
Outcome
The new brand identity for Epic Taste Experiences perfectly captures the spirit of their curated food and wine tours. The shield-shaped logo and its symbolic elements communicate the variety of experiences available, while the warm, earthy color palette and bespoke topographic pattern ground the brand in the region’s culture and landscape.
This identity positions Epic Taste Experiences as the premier provider of local gastronomical journeys, highlighting their knowledge of the area and commitment to creating fun, memorable experiences. The modern yet friendly design appeals to a broad audience, reinforcing Epic Taste’s reputation for delivering high-quality, personalised tours that celebrate the hidden treasures of the Geelong region.
