Geelong Tech School engaged D&Co Studio to lead a comprehensive rebrand aimed at establishing a distinctive identity, moving away from the generic visual assets shared by other Victorian Tech Schools. The goal was to develop a clear, impactful brand proposition that resonated with students, educators, and partners while reflecting the school’s cutting-edge, industry-led educational approach.
Challenges
Lack of Differentiation: Geelong Tech School was constrained by a generic branding system used across all Tech Schools in Victoria.
Unclear Brand Proposition: The school lacked a strong, unique brand narrative to set it apart in the education sector.
Absence of a Cohesive Brand Identity: Geelong Tech School did not have a defined or flexible identity system, limiting its ability to communicate across different channels.
Limited Visibility: With no cohesive digital or printed communication assets, the school struggled to convey its innovative mission effectively.

D&Co Studio implemented a strategic branding process to develop a new brand architecture and identity for Geelong Tech School. Key steps in this transformation included:
Brand Strategy Development: Conducted an in-depth analysis of the school’s vision, values, and target audiences to create a brand proposition that resonated with students and aligned with the school’s ethos of innovation and future-focused learning.
Visual Identity Creation: Designed a contemporary brand identity system featuring bold geometric shapes that symbolised the diverse educational paths students can take. This visual language, built on converging and diverging lines, embodied the dynamic nature of technology-driven education.
Colour Palette Alignment: The colour scheme subtly incorporated elements of the school’s primary partner, The Gordon, while forging a unique, confident look to differentiate Geelong Tech School.
Flexible Brand System: The new visual identity system was versatile, allowing for easy application across digital, print, and environmental assets, ensuring consistent and recognisable communication.
