Knots By Anita approached D&Co Studio to create a brand identity that reflects their passion for macrame while highlighting the creative and social aspects of their workshops. The brand needed to appeal to two distinct audiences: individuals looking for a relaxed, artistic experience and corporate clients seeking unique team-building activities. The objective was to craft a visual identity that is playful yet professional, encapsulating the essence of macrame and the sense of connection fostered through Anita’s workshops.
Challenges
The primary challenge was balancing the dual nature of Knots By Anita’s audience—providing a fun, approachable aesthetic for the general public while maintaining a polished, professional image that resonates with corporate clients. The identity also needed to incorporate elements that visually tie into the macrame craft while remaining modern and versatile across various touch points, from digital platforms to workshop materials.
Design Approach
The brand identity centres around a vibrant pink and green palette, already prominent on the client’s website. These colours symbolise creativity, growth, and playfulness, striking a balance between artistic exploration and professionalism. The harmonious combination creates a dynamic visual language that resonates with both target audiences.
Custom typography mimics the appearance of knots, tying directly to the macrame craft. This playful yet elegant typeface ensures a unique and memorable visual signature for the brand. Graphic lines resembling knots were incorporated throughout the designs, creating cohesion and reinforcing the theme of macrame.
